Christina Back

Christie received her BA, cum laude, from the University of Dayton in Political Science and Women’s and Gender Studies with a concentration in Catholic Social Teaching. Christie, returned home to her native Cleveland, and went on to earn her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 2014. While at Case, Christie participated in an exchange program where she studied law with a focus in European Business Law at Comillas Pontifica Universidad in Madrid, Spain.

Following a post doc fellowship, Christie was admitted to the Ohio bar in 2015. She is also admitted to the Southern District of Ohio. She has eight years of experience in immigration matters both family based and employment based as well as in removal defense. Christie has also been heavily involved in probate and family law matters through numerous volunteer projects such as Wills for Heroes and Wills for Vets, Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project and her prior work experience. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Columbus State where she shares her love of legal research and writing, immigration law, and various other subjects with her students.

Christie is bilingual, enjoys participating in and volunteering for various Hispanic events and
organizations, and loves to train for long distance running events. She enjoys exploring coffee shops, libraries, parks, and museums with her two kids, and serves as a board member of Gloria Dei Montessori.
